A turn-based 4X strategy game developed by Silver Lemur Games. The action of Stellar Monarch takes place in the distant future. The player assumes the role of a galactic emperor whose duties include managing his dominion and keeping more or less peaceful relations with other races found throughout the galaxy. The 4X stands for explore, expand, exploit, and exterminate - your four basic activities in the game. Nevertheless, Stellar Monarch is characteristic for its lack of micromanagement – we are free from managing individual units or buildings, taking care of our empire through edicts, decrees, or diplomacy instead. The world of the game is inhabited by numerous races, from primitive beasts to advanced civilizations that can be reasoned with using diplomacy. Stellar Monarch uses simple, two-dimensional graphics.
