Release Date: August 27, 2025
A remake of the life sim agricultural jRPG, originally created by Marvelous company for the Nintendo DS system. Story of Seasons: Grand Bazaar allows us to work on the farm, cultivate the land and craft delicacies. All of the goods we've created can be sold on the titular bazaar.
In 2008, the company Marvelous released the game Harvest Moon: Grand Bazaar for the Nintendo DS handheld. It was a title on the border of jRPG and farming life simulation genres, representing a series that has been developed since 1996. Years later, the studio prepared a remake of this title, namely Story of Seasons: Grand Bazaar. It stands out against the original not only because of its nicer graphics, but also a larger world, expanded story and new characters.
In Story of Seasons: Grand Bazaar we watch the action from a bird's eye view.
The games takes us to Zephyr Town and its beating heart is the titular bazaar held every week. During the game, we run our own farm and sell the products produced on it, doing business with the town's residents. Similar to most games under this banner, as we progress we nurture relationships with independent characters. Some of them may result in meeting the love of our life and starting a family.
On our farm, we can cultivate the land, raise animals, and also make use of the wind. This last one powers windmills, which we can use to produce various delicacies. The wind also plays a role during exploration, as we can traverse the game world both on foot (making use of jumping skills) and in the air (with the help of a glider).
In order for our bazaar business to flourish, we need to not only nurture relationships with the townspeople, but also regularly set up our stall, efficiently and kindly serve customers, and also decorate our booth to attract as much interest as possible. We can allocate the collected funds for the development of the farm (which will give us access to new goods) and the construction of a house. Our activity in the market makes it start to pulse with more life, and along with it, the whole Zephyr Town is flourishing.
The graphic design of Story of Seasons: Grand Bazaar is maintained in a manga style. Dialogues pushing the story forward have been dubbed (for the first time in the series history).

Game Ratings for Story of Seasons: Grand Bazaar Video Game.
Hey Poor Player: 3.5 / 5 by Andrew Thornton
Story of Seasons: Grand Bazaar is another solid entry in this long-running series, with the titular bazaar offering a nice change of pace for players that sets it slightly apart from other Story of Seasons titles. Despite this and some other fun new features the game introduces, the series could still benefit from a true refresh to help it stand apart from its contemporaries. If you haven’t experienced one of these games in a while, Grand Bazaar is a good choice to revisit the series. For those who have played a recent entry in the Story of Seasons franchise, though, you won’t find enough here that stands out to make this a must-play.

Story of Seasons: Grand Bazaar is not only a stellar remake of its DS counterpart, it may be the best entry in the series to date.
oprainfall: 4.5 / 5
After over 80 hours of playing Grand Bazaar, I can still say this is a wonderful new entry in the series. And yes, I do think this is the very best STORY OF SEASONS game to be released on the original Switch. If you don’t mind a more hectic farming game, where you’re constantly running around growing stuff, collecting stock to sell at a weekly bazaar and raising the quality of your products, then I highly recommend Grand Bazaar over the other STORY OF SEASONS games currently available. This one might not be for you if you like a more relaxing Bokujo Monogatari game, such as Animal Parade. Nonetheless, I adored the time I spent with Grand Bazaar. I was pleasantly surprised to see Marvelous turn things around and put more time and effort into releasing a fantastic new entry in the series. The game has a lot of life and personality, and I don’t believe it’s at all too short either.
