An abstract survival horror, based on the earliest installments of the Silent Hill and Resident Evil series. The combat in Studio System: Guardian Angel involves using not only a melee weapon, but also a camera carried by the female protagonist. We can use this gadget to "shoot" enemies. Our ultimate goal is to escape from the film studio located under the school.
Studio System: Guardian Angel is a survival horror game made in a style reminiscent of the classics of the genre, especially the early installments of the Resident Evil and Silent Hill series. The game was developed by the independent studio Alreti Circle, which has the project Times Infinity in its portfolio.
In Studio System: Guardian Angel we play as eighteen-year-old Rebecca Townshend, who is tired of life. A few days before the end of high school, one of her friends discovers that there is an abandoned film studio hidden under the school. After its opening, our protagonist loses consciousness, and when she regains it, it turns out that the other students have disappeared, and terrifying creatures are lurking in the dark rooms.
From now on, the girl's goal is not only to survive, but also to unravel the mystery behind these events and restore reality to its original state.
In Studio System: Guardian Angel we watch events from various "cinematic" perspectives. During the game, we explore a film studio and solve puzzles that require us to interact with objects and search for specific items and use them in a specific way.
We are constantly hindered by opponents with whom we fight in two ways. The heroine can wield a melee weapon (like a baseball bat) and engage in direct combat. However, a camera can also serve us as a weapon.
The game allows us to activate the crosshair and "shoot" at enemies. It's worth remembering that aiming at heads usually yields better results than targeting other parts of the body. Additionally, in the same way, we can lift some items and activate elements of the environment.
Camera features require special "bullets" that we need to look for in the locations we visit. "Ammunition" is a scarce commodity and Rebecca is not battle-hardened. Often a better solution to leave adversaries alone, rather than confronting them.
The graphic design of Studio System: Guardian Angel is maintained in a manga style.
