Submerged is an action-adventure game kept in a post-apocalyptic, fantasy setting. The production has been developed by the Uppercut Games studio, known mostly for the mobile Epoch series; the team is made out of veterans of the gaming industry, who has previously been involved in the creation of such titles as Fallout: Tactics, Freedom Force, Tribes: Vengeance, BioShock and BioShock 2.

Submerged tells the tale of a young woman and her smaller brother, exploring the ruins of a sunken city; the boy is severely ill, which is why our heroine has to look through the destroyed buildings in search of substances that could prolong his life and items which could help her in completing future challenges. The production does not feature many cutscenes, the players have to thoroughly acquire clues and fragments of the story to put together into a singular tale.
