Supraball is a 3D football game, designed primarily for the multiplayer mode. Unlike many similar games, in Supraball players control a single character in order to experience unrealistic - but very spectacular - gameplay. The game was developed by the independent studio Supra Games and is the second project of this team (the first was the action adventure game Supraland).
Supraball is a sports game in which players observe the action from the first person perspective. Each player controls a single character who is part of a five-player team (if there are not enough players or you want to play by yourself, you can also start a game with bots).
Supra Games' production does not focus on realism - individual players can perform various incredible manoeuvres, such as very high jumps (bounce in the air several times), incredibly strong shots (where the ball reaches a speed exceeding 400 km/h) or... generate shock waves that can affect the ball track from a certain distance or and even inflict damage on opponents.
The controls system was designed in such way so that the basics are easy to master, but real championship requires a long training (there are a number of manoeuvres to learn - such as rolling, kicks, and creating a special shield preventing one's character from contact with the ball).
Also worth noticing is the fact that controlling one's character is not everything that the game oofers. Supraball's unusual game mechanics make it necessary for the team to employ proper planning and strategy for a given game in order to achieve optimal results - especially when facing a demanding opponent.
In Supraball we can play solo or with other players. However, the game spreads its wings in the multiplayer mode. Players can enjoy a number of different modes (e.g. single matches, Supraball League), as well as summaries presenting the achievements of individual players and teams in comparison to others.
Supraball has quite simple 3D visuals. The creators focused on the comic art style, thanks to which the image displayed on the screen is very clear. Spectacular animations and light effects depicting individual, fantastic performances also make a positive impression.
