Swords 'n Magic and Stuff is an action RPG designed to provide fun for both veterans of the genre and younger players unfamiliar with its conventions. The independent Kindred Games team is responsible for developing this game.
Swords 'n Magic and Stuff takes us on a journey to the fantastic land of Tirawyn. During King Owynn's reign, its people enjoyed a happy and prosperous life. However, when the ruler was put under a dark curse, things started to get complicated. The paladins who guarded the order in the kingdom set out to all corners of the world in search of a cure for the monarch, leaving the Tirawyns at the mercy of the more and more violent forces of evil. Fortunately, not everything is yet lost, as adventurers have taken on the task of defending them. We play the role of one of these heroes during the game, but whether we take the dangerous path to eternal glory or decide to live a peaceful life on the farm is up to us.
In Swords 'n Magic and Stuff the action is shown from the third person perspective (TPP). The game gives us a vast open world that we can travel freely. During the game, we can both devote ourselves to the tasks assigned by the inhabitants of Tirawyn, and seek adventure on our own, exploring the corners of the land and facing the enemies waiting for us. The battles are dynamic and have a relatively high level of difficulty, especially in the first phase of the game.
There are no character classes in the game. To the battle we can lead both the hero who perfectly wields a sword as well as a specialist in magic casting powerful combat spells or a protagonist who draws from both areas of development. Besides, nothing stands in the way of trying to lead a somewhat quieter life in Tirawyn and devote yourself to running a farm, looking for valuable resources, producing various goods and gradually accumulating ever greater wealth.
In Swords 'n Magic and Stuff you can play alone, but the title has been prepared especially for multiplayer.
Swords 'n Magic and Stuff has colourful and quite symbolic graphics in a style reminiscent of the bestselling Minecraft (especially through the 'square' character heads).
