A twin-stick shooter, Tachyon Project is a title developed by Eclipse Games, established by the developers credited for Pure, Split/Second, Imperial Glory, Wanted: Weapons of Fate, or Terminator 4: Salvation. The players assume the role of a computer program named Ada, used to hack into the most heavily guarded servers in the world. For reasons unknown, Ada had been kicked from the test server, and forced to wander about the depths of internet.
Tachyon Project for SWITCH, XONE and etc. is an arcade shooter with console styled (“twin-stick”) controls. The game was developed by Eclipse Games, a Spanish studio established by industry veterans, credited for titles such as Pure, Split/Second, Imperial Glory, Wanted: Weapons of Fate, or Terminator 4: Salvation.
The players assume the role of… a computer program called Ada, which was created to hack the most heavily guarded servers around the world. An unusually intelligent code becomes sentient, but as a result of unexplained circumstances had been kicked from the test server, and sentenced to wander about the “depths” of internet. Our job is to find out what has happened to our creators (the program calls them his parents) and attempt to return to its original domain.
This original storyline is a coating for a classic two-dimensional shooter with full range of motion, controlled using two analog sticks. The game is influenced by cult-classic titles of the genre, but attempts to introduce some innovations – aside from classic mechanics, we’ll be facing numerous opponents (30 types and 4 bosses) and employ a whole lot of upgrades and perks that result in multiple configurations for our ship. Some missions employ a so called “stealth mode” that sees the player wait for a right moment to fire so his ship won’t get detected by the enemy.
As the game progresses, we unlock new types of weapons and abilities that will prove to be indispensable when facing more and more tougher opponents. The developers also introduced a cooperation mode for up to four players. When it comes to graphics, Tachyon Project for SWITCH, XONE and etc. mixes traditional elements with modern effects, offering simple two-dimensional graphics, which however are very colorful and full of different light effects.

Game Ratings for Tachyon Project Video Game.
NintendoWorldReport: 7 / 10 by Daan Koopman
This is why the implementation of the short mission waves and story could have been handled with more grace. If you can stick with it though, there is always a reason to turn back. Playing a few rounds never gets old!.
ZTGD: 7.5 / 10 by Justin Celani
Tachyon Project seems to take a lot of inspiration from Geometry Wars but puts its own spin on things. Taking cues from one of the best twin stick shooters ever made, isn't a bad thing in the slightest.
Destructoid: 7 / 10 by Chris Carter
Tachyon Project isn't a remarkable shooter, but it's well-designed on several levels. There's no multiplayer to speak here, but with a decent campaign, lots of customization, and New Game+/Endless modes, you'll be perfectly fine going at it solo.
