Tales of is one of the longer-developed series of jRPG games, whose roots date back to 1995. Released in 2016, Tales of Berseria was its sixteenth installment. Years later, Bandai Namco Entertainment, the company behind it, decided to prepare a remastered version of it, signed by D.A.G. (Digital Artist Guild) studio from Japan.
Tales of Berseria Remastered brings gameplay improvements, led by target markers that make it easier to complete missions. In addition, the title allows you to disable encounters with enemies, so players who only want to explore the story don't have to bother with clashes.
In addition, the game implements a selection of DLCs released for the original, among which we can find both additional equipment and bonus outfits for characters.
In Tales of Berseria Remastered, we view events from a third-person perspective (TPP). As we travel through the archipelago of the Midgand Kingdom, we get to know its inhabitants and complete quests, recruit allies, as well as fight enemies.
Clashes take place in real time and have a dynamic character. What counts on the battlefield is our dexterity and the ability to combine attacks into combinations, as well as efficient juggling of abilities of both the main heroine and her companions. An important role is played here by special attacks called artes, which the protagonists have at their disposal.
Tales of Berseria Remastered takes us to the island kingdom of Midgand, which is struggling with a plague turning people into monsters. Eventually, on the initiative of Artorius Collbrande, a ritual is performed to aid humanity in the fight against the plague.
As a result of the ritual , the game's main character, a girl named Velvet, experiences a traumatic betrayal. This pushes her to embark on a path of revenge and a desire to settle accounts with Collbrande. In doing so, our protégée is not doomed to act alone, as over time she is joined by other characters with their own personalities and motivations.
The visuals of the game Tales of Berseria Remastered have been maintained in a manga style.

Game Ratings for Tales of Berseria Remastered Video Game.
Worth Playing: 7.5 / 10 by Chris "Atom" DeAngelus
Tales of Berseria Remastered is an odd duck. It's a barely necessary remastered version of an absolutely excellent game that PlayStation owners can already purchase for half the price. It's easily the best version of the game with some fantastic QoL improvements and all the DLC packed in at a much lower price than buying them separately. However, if you're already a longtime fan who already owns the game and has purchased the DLC, Remastered is probably not worth the extra cost. If you're a newcomer to the game and don't mind shelling out a little more for bells and whistles, Remastered is the version you should get.
Nintendo Life: 9 / 10 by George Yang
Tales of Berseria is still one of my favourite entries in the series, thanks to its excellent story and charming cast of characters. The gameplay is as fun as ever, and it's aged well since its debut nearly a decade ago. This remaster offers plenty of new features for those who've already experienced the game, and they're an extra cherry on top for newcomers. Beyond those quality-of-life additions, the port itself doesn't exactly go above and beyond, but if you're looking to play this game on the go, you can't go wrong here.
GameSpew: 8 / 10 by Richard Seagrave
Tales of Berseria Remastered takes an already great JRPG, tidies up its visuals, and adds some welcome quality of life features. It's the fact that it also includes most of the game's DLC and brings it to more formats that should make it particularly appealing though, especially to newcomers.
