Teardown is an adventure game in which we play the role of a thief making all kinds of dangerous jumps. The player's task is to steal and then escape to a safe place. A characteristic feature of this game is a huge level of destruction of the environment, achieved through the use of graphics based on voxels (a solution known, among others, from Minecraft). Tuxedo Labs is responsible for the development and release of this title.

Mechanics

In Teardown, we play the role of a thief and our job is to perform break ins - each action requires a plan to enter the building and then reach the valuable goods. Of course we also have to take care of the escape route - the moment we pick up the object that is the target of the break in, the alarm sounds.

One of the basic mechanics used by the player is the ability to influence the shape of the environment - we can interact with a variety of objects (e.g. arrange the boxes in such a way as to allow yourself to get to the place above), and destroy almost everything on the map (we use various tools for this purpose - from a hammer, through vehicles to explosives).

Game modes

We can only play Teardown only alone.

Technical aspects

Teardown has a nice, three-dimensional graphic design. The graphics use voxels, which makes it look like Minecraft - the world presented consists of quite large, clearly visible blocks. However, the graphics is kept in a relatively realistic style and enriched with attractive lighting (the game uses ray tracing).

The sound is also noteworthy - Tuxedo Labs' game uses Path Tracing technology to create a realistic sound simulation.
