Terra Nil
An original strategy puzzle game in which we restore life to the wilderness. In Terra Nil, we irrigate the soil, restore biodiversity, and bring wildlife to refreshed areas to create self-contained, vibrant ecosystems.

Terra Nil is an intriguing combination of a strategy game and puzzle game, which could be described as a reverse city builder. Rather than build cities, our task is to restore life to wastelands. It was developed by Free Lives, also responsible for the warmly received Broforce (although initially it was the work of just three independent developers who released the game's first build on itch.io) and published by Devolver Digital.
Mechanics
The gameplay of Terra Nil is shown from an isometric perspective. The game's paced rather slowly and takes place on procedurally generated wastelands located in different regions.
Our first move should always be to build a wind turbine to generate electricity and create infrastructure to irrigate soil. This lets us get rid of pollution, allowing plant growth. Afterwards we can handle more complex tasks, such as restoring biodiversity, regulating the local climate and bringing in wildlife. All this requires building and powering infrastructure. Once we finally manage to revitalize the ecosystem, we must pack everything up and move on somewhere else. First, however, we must dismantle and recycle all constructed buildings.
Technical aspects
The visuals of Terra Nil are bright, cartoonish and appealing. The audio layer consists of sounds of nature and a peaceful, tranquil soundtrack.
