The Adventures of Dash is the first project created by Robert Bowling (co-founder of the Call of Duty series) of the independent Robotics studio. The production is the result of cooperation with artists specializing in 2D graphics and animation.
The title character of the game is a 9-year-old suffering from narcolepsy. Dash tries to lead a normal life style (attends school, meets friends, etc.), but his affliction makes him fall asleep practically at any time. However, these are not ordinary dreams. In each of them the boy takes on the role of a new hero, who has to solve puzzles, fight enemies and save fantastic lands.
The game refers to classic 2D platformers, but the creators have taken care of a variety of gameplay mechanisms. The game takes place in an open world, where there is no shortage of independent characters, puzzles to solve and new elements to unlock.
In the audiovisual layer, The Adventures of Dash uses the capabilities of the popular Unity 3D engine. Each of the levels (dreams) is characterized by a different way of presenting the location and character.
