The city of Eriosthe was once a pearl of the kingdom. Life here was lazy and its inhabitants showed unprecedented hospitality and sincere understanding for the newcomers entangled in various problems. However, nothing lasts forever. A monster named Uukrul reached the land and with the help of his dark servants attacked the city and turned it into a real hell. Four daredevils were delegated with the mission of taming the evil. As you can easily guess, it is the player who will take control of them.
The Dark Heart of Uukrul will give you a unique opportunity to explore a huge labyrinth near Eriosthe. It is here that the mythical heart of the demon can be found, which it is necessary to find the final solution to the problem of killing Uukrula. The whole, maintained in the convention of hits like Dungeon Master, should appeal to all enthusiasts of the RPG genre.
Although the professions of the heroes are fixed in advance (warrior, paladin, priest and sorcerer), the player has a great influence on the other characteristics of the team. Creating a character is done by selecting the answers to the questions asked by the program. After dealing with this part of the game, all heroes are assigned coefficients, the size of which depends on how well we coped with the test.
As the game is practically all about traversing tight, closed spaces, we have been given a map on which all progress in dungeon exploration will be marked. Of course, every step of the way we meet unfriendly creatures who want to cut us into pieces. Turn-based battles are not the easiest, at least at the beginning, when the team is not particularly experienced. The game continues until the task is completed or all members of the group are not killed. The dead members of the team can be replaced by other characters encountered during the game, but nothing will return the laboriously acquired experience.
The Dark Heart of Uukrul is an interesting proposition for all RPG fans. Admittedly, the audiovisual setting does not impress (most annoying is the main window, which the authors have sized), but the programme makes up for the interesting scenario, demanding riddles and a large number of varied enemies.
