The Dark Sorcerer Description
The Dark Sorcerer is a technological demo by Quantic Dream, a developer known for such productions as Fahrenheit, Heavy Rain or Beyond: Two Souls. The project, which was rendered in real time on PlayStation 4, was largely kept in a dark fantasy atmosphere, but in many moments it is interwoven with scenes in the studio and humorous inserts. David Cage, head of the Quantic Dream studio, is responsible for directing.
The project was presented on the example of several characters: an old sorcerer with ambitions, a funny and clever goblin and a good demon from hell. The Dark Sorcerer is a demonstration of the technological capabilities of a new generation Sony console and a starting point for what graphics can be achieved on the Japanese company's device. Graphic effects, animations (realistic body language: gestures and facial expressions), as well as meticulously reproduced models of characters are of particular interest. The visual setting has been refined to the smallest details.
The prototype was originally presented at the Sony conference at E3 2013.
