The Diary of Arthur Gilman on PC puts you in the shoes of the eponymous hero – Arthur – who arrives at places straight out of a nightmare: starting with strange households, through a gloomy forest, and ending with narrow streets and underground tunnels. The hostile atmosphere is intensified by paintings straight out of H.P. Lovecraft’s horrific visions and by scarce lighting in different locations. Moreover, during gameplay, the player will often have to face forces from another world. The plot is revealed by different notes the hero finds and by chatting with NPCs. The title features a few endings, depending on the player’s actions.
Gameplay of The Diary of Arthur Gilman published on PC is presented from the firs-person perspective. The title comes down do exploring and solving puzzles that are numerous in the game’s world. While visiting atmospheric locations, the players comes across the fragments of the plot, which eventually form one, consistent piece. Additionally, gameplay often provides clever environment puzzles and sends the player to alternative dimensions.
The Diary of Arthur Gilman released on PC utilises the power of Unreal Engine 4, so the visuals are decent. The tense atmosphere is accompanied by the soundtrack recorded especially for this game.
