The Guild 2: Renaissance is the third expansion designed for The Guild 2, which is an intriguing combination of an economic strategy with a cRPG. The production is a standalone expansion, which does not require the vanilla version of the title from 4Head Studios in order to work. In Renaissance the player gains the chance to get accustomed with the changes, that the Renaissance era brought to the minds of the people and the structure of the world. The developers of the expansion have chosen to present it in two different scenarios, named The Alps and The Free Republic of the Netherlands.

Mechanics

A new set of professions has been introduced in The Guild 2: Renaissance. As most of the fans of the series will know, professions have a very powerful impact on the gameplay, which is to a large extent non-linear, and fully dependant on the actions of the player. Amongst nine new professions you can find, e.g. the mercenary, artist, banker, miller, mason or innkeeper.
