The Haunted Island, a Frog Detective Game is a humorous adventure game in which we play the role of the titular frog detective investigating the mysteries of a haunted island. It was developed by a duo of indie developers, Grace Bruxner and Thomas Bowker.
The Haunted Island, a Frog Detective Game takes us on a journey to an island where something suspicious is happening. For weeks, a young sloth has been struggling with a haunting ghost that no one has been able to track down. Or at least that was the case, until the main character, a frog known simply as Detective, took an interest in the matter. Uncovering the secrets of the island, the protagonist moves step by step closer to unraveling this mystery and being able to solve the problem before the situation gets completely out of hand.
In The Haunted Island, a Frog Detective Game, we observe the action from a first-person perspective (FPP). We travel the length and breadth of the island and have conversations with its inhabitants, asking them about anything that may be related to our investigation. Besides, we have to look carefully at the objects we find; this is helped by a magnifying glass, thanks to which we can take a closer look at everything we manage to find.
The game in question is not one of the longest - it has been prepared in such a way that it takes us about an hour to finish it.
The Haunted Island, a Frog Detective Game features colorful, cartoonish graphics, maintained in an unusual style reminiscent of children's drawings. We can also listen to a peaceful soundtrack.
