The Killing Antidote is a shooter with survival horror elements, clearly inspired by the Resident Evil series. The game was developed by the independent Chinese team MetalStar Studio, and its creation was made possible partially thanks to financial support from the community.

Plot

The Killing Antidote takes us to a world doomed to destruction. It was overcome by a mysterious pathogen, which causes various mutations in people, turning them into bloodthirsty monsters. We play the role of a journalist named Jodi in the game, who decides to get to the source of the plague, while also trying to find the antidote to this disease.

Gameplay

In The Killing Antidote the action is viewed from a third-person perspective (TPP). At first glance, the game does not differ much from what other survival horrors have accustomed us to. During the game we explore locations bathed in darkness and solve various puzzles, gradually pushing the story forward.

Along the way, we face hordes of enemies, eliminating them with firearms or melee weapons. It is worth keeping our eyes peeled so as not to miss any resources (placed randomly), and also to carefully plan our next steps. When possible, we should sneak around and silently eliminate adversaries.

This is not everything, as the game stands out from other representatives of the genre due to the rich possibilities related to dressing up the protagonist. We have at our disposal a number of hairstyles, makeup versions and wardrobe elements that can be used to customize Jodi's look to individual preferences.

Game modes

The Killing Antidote only allows for solo play. Apart from the story mode, we can find a number of other gameplay variants, such as a mode with elements of a roguelike, in which we go through procedurally generated locations.
