Each of a few dozens of characters features unique list of attacks and maneuvers that can be combined into various combos. The gameplay in the new version is similar to the one in original The King of Fighters ’97 – the developers decided not to implement any changes or improvements. They did add however a special gallery mode and support for trophies/achievements.
The King of Fighters ’97 Global Match can be played alone or with other players. The greatest novelty, when compared to the previous release of the game, is the fact that the title includes a network module that enables the players to fight on the Internet.
The graphics of The King of Fighters ’97 Global Match weren’t changed when compared to the original version. The title features two-dimensional characters and levels presented by animated sprites.
