The Mystery of the Wicked Village PC

The Mystery of the Wicked Village is the second installment of a series of adventure games about the adventures of a monk-detective. This is the production of the Spanish studio Alcachofa Soft, i.e. the same band that stood behind the first part entitled Murder in the Abbey.

Once again we play Leonardo de Toledo, a monk gifted by the Creator with detective talent. This time, looking for shelter from a storm, he ends up in a small town. There he will be forced to deal with the disappearance of a member of his Order. During the investigation he will have to face supernatural forces, including the servants of Satan himself. Despite the fact that the plot tells the story of Leonardo's future, knowledge of the previous part is not required to enjoy the new adventure of a detective dressed in a habit.

The game is a typical preparation with a point & click interface, so the fun is mainly about conducting conversations, collecting items and solving puzzles. The Mystery of the Wicked Village offers attractive cartoon graphics with beautiful two-dimensional backgrounds and three-dimensional characters shaded to match the visual style of the location. At the same time, the authors made sure that the riddles were much more varied and the places visited were more varied than in the case of Murder in the Abbey.
