The Shore

Mechanics

In The Shore we observe the action from the first person perspective (FPP). During the game, we walk through atmospheric locations; among them we find both the rocky coast full of wrecks, dominated by a destroyed lighthouse, and caves bathed in darkness. In each of these places we have to be on guard, because there are monsters waiting for the hero, inspired by the creations of H.P. Lovecraft's imagination. However, Andrew is not defenseless; while initially defending himself with simple tools like an axe, over time he gains divine artifacts behaving like a magic weapon. The magic weapons are not only for his defence - they are also useful for solving numerous environmental puzzles.

Technical aspects

The Shore uses the Unreal Engine 4 technology and makes proper use of its capabilities. The graphic design of this game is of a high level, and attention is drawn to both the detailed environment and models of the enemies.
