The Sleeping Prince, released on AND and iOS, is an unusual logic platformer, in which we play as the titular sleeping prince. The game was developed by Signal Studios.

Plot

One day, a terrifying curse of Sydney Slime was cast on the people of Cloudreach. The spell made all people fall asleep forever, and the only person who managed to avoid this fate is the court sorcerer Plushkin. It is he who calls the player, the only hope for the Cloudreach people. Our task is to direct the prince and defeat evil. The problem is that he isn't very eager to cooperate, because, like everyone else, he is in a deep sleep. Nevertheless, we must somehow deal with this unusual situation. Luckily, we can throw the prince around.

Mechanics

The gameplay in The Sleeping Prince is based mainly on physics. The game is about hurling the hero from one place to another to avoid obstacles, solve puzzles and even fight enemies. During the adventure, we find ourselves in various places, including the royal castle, several towers, a garden, and even the roofs of buildings. In total, the developers have prepared 40 demanding levels.

As in any self-respecting mobile production, the gameplay is also diversified by collectibles. Each level contains various jewels, stars and gold coins hidden in more or less sophisticated places. The sooner you find them, the more medals you will receive after the level is over, which in turn is useful for unlocking subsequent systems.

Technical aspects

The Sleeping Prince offers pleasant graphics. The game was created using the 2.5D technique, which means that the characters are three-dimensional, but move only in two-dimensional space.
