game release date for PC:
Simulator of rescue services 2012 is a production of Crenetic development studio, addressed to people interested in the subject of civil rescue and disaster recovery. The title was produced in cooperation with the German rescue service THW (Technisches Hilfswerk).
The player directs the actions of the rescue unit called to emergency situations. His duties include removing the effects of various types of accidents and catastrophes that may pose a threat to the population, as well as participation in rescue operations.
The game combines elements of simulation and strategy, allowing both the command of a team of rescuers and direct control of machines. The creators took care of faithful representation of various devices and vehicles on THW equipment. In the course of the mission, the player can, among other things, use a concrete chain saw, set up a flood protection wall, sit in the crane cabin, lead a bulldozer and control a motorboat.
Available scenarios include the most frequent events faced by THW units. Starting with the removal of wind-fallen trees, through the protection of unstable buildings, to the evacuation of the population from floodplains.
The Emergency Services Simulator 2012 is distinguished by its attractive, for this type of production, visual setting. Vehicle models have been developed with great care to comply with the details of authentic counterparts' bodies. However, the driving physics system is much simpler, so that even less skilled players will be able to cope with driving.
