"Total Pro Basketball" allows you to create your own basketball team and lead it to the final victory. You can also always choose one of the professional teams. The player takes on the role of a team manager, but is not limited to one season, he can manage it for several years. The game features a powerful engine that simulates events on and off the dance floor. The basic tasks facing the player are: setting tactics (for a game or an entire season), making transfers, negotiating prices, supervising player training and managing the finances of the team (salaries, bonuses, ticket prices, sponsors, promotions).

The most important element of "TPB" are subordinate competitors. The player has to take into account a number of factors, including the personality of the player and motivate them accordingly. You should not forget about the owners of a given team, who set specific goals. Care must be taken to ensure that they are successively filled in. A player can hire a coach who will take care of the direct supervision of the team, help to improve the skills of selected players and maintain the morale of the team at the highest possible level.

"TPB" has extensive functions for network gameplay. Players can organize their own leagues using the built-in wizard. "TPB" has many unusual options. For example, you may try to bribe a judge or suggest that his or her verdicts are wrong.

The authors of the game took care of extensive statistics. Individual charts can, for example, illustrate the progress of selected players during the season, which in turn will allow you to identify potential talents. There is also an option to create your own players (you can paste any photo). At the end of each day the player receives reports from the staff, from which they can learn about the progress of selected players or their possible injuries.
