Totally Legit Wheeler Dealer

In the portfolio of the Polish-based studio Simplicity Games, humorous simulators are particularly eye-catching. In addition to games such as Politics: The Game or Polish Simulator, we can also find the Totally Legit Wheeler Dealer project created under the Sombrero Labs banner. As the title suggests, the work in question allows us to take on the role of a used car dealer known from Polish memes.

Gameplay

In Totally Legit Wheeler Dealer we view the action from a first-person perspective (FPP). During the game we become the owners of a used car dealership. If we want to make money and avoid working too hard, we have to learn to buy cheap cars and then sell them with a much bigger price tag.

A little patch here, a little paint there, and it will be good as new

To achieve the intended goal, we need to find a car that will make a new owner cry (of happiness) when we sell it, bring it to our yard and repair it as cheaply as possible. The desired effect (or at least something close to it) can be achieved with the help of putty, spray paint, and a hammer (because, as we know, no job is done without a hammer). In extreme cases, a circular saw and a welder might also come in handy (when we want to assemble one good car from two in slightly worse condition). Of course, there are also options to roll back the odometer or cover up warning lights with a black marker.

The magic of photography

If a given car still doesn't look as good as we would like (and certainly as our clients would like) despite the work put into it, we can focus on cosmetics and, for example, apply a special blackening agent to the tires. When all else fails, the magic of photography must come into play, which involves taking a photo from the right angle and processing it on a computer. This way, the vehicle can be listed online without any sense of shame.

Hard negotiations

The final stage of the fight for profit is meeting with the client. When talking to the buyer, we have to bargain skillfully. After signing the contract, we have no choice but to pray that the car leaves our property in one piece. The rule here is that warranty ends after driving through the gate and we are not responsible for any new breakdowns.

Expanding the business

The money earned in this way can be used not only to purchase new cars (preferably cheaply) but also to expand our dealership, for example, by setting up a self-service car wash. Over time we gain the opportunity to subject cars to country tuning, to attract not only experienced drivers who have seen a lot in their lives and know a little about these things, but also young people. It is them who, after all, need something to show off (preferably big spoilers and loud exhausts) in front of their friends.
