Train Sim World 2 is another simulation game from Dovetail Games studio that allows players to sit at the helm of locomotives. The game is a sequel of Train Sim World released in 2017 and is compatible with all Train Sim World 2020 add-ons.
As virtual train drivers in Train Sim World 2, we can drive locomotives such as the famous German DB ICE 3M and the cult American CSX AC4400CW. At their helm, we follow a variety of routes, including the Bakerloo Line (one of London's oldest subway lines), located between Cologne and Achen Schnellfahrstrecke Köln-Aachen, where we can rush to over 250 kilometres per hour, and finally the picturesque American Sand Patch Grade.
However, the list of new features in Train Sim World 2 does not end with routes and locomotives. The devs give us an intuitive painting wizard, which allows us to adjust the appearance of trains to individual preferences, as well as extensive tools for creating your own scenarios. In addition, a new physical engine has been implemented in the game, thanks to which we can feel the effects of wheel slippage on rails in adverse weather conditions, as well as the user interface has been rebuilt and control has been modified.
A special logbook (Dovetail Live) also appears in the game, which allows you to track your progress and compare it with that of other players.
Train Sim World 2 is based on Unreal Engine 4 technology. In comparison with its predecessor, this game stands out visually, mainly due to a fully animated sky with many layers of clouds and realistic lighting.
