The Digital Fix: 7 / 10 by Colin Polonowski

Despite slightly unintuitive controls, Railway Empire offers just enough depth and detail to make it worth a play. We can't help wishing for a much more encompassing railway management sim though.

Gaming Nexus: 6.5 / 10 by Kevin O'Connell

Railway Empire is a game that has a lot of promise, plenty of substance, and can be enjoyable to those who have 20ft train sets in their basements. However, most will find this game poorly designed, easily finished, and a tedious use of their time. Suddenly doing laundry sounds like a good idea.

NEOsite: 7.5 / 10

A tycoon about building railways in 19th-century America. Railway Empire is a great addition to the genre, although badly designed controls make the experience a little worse.
