"Trespasser" is one of the first FPS games with dinosaurs in the lead role next to the famous "Turok". In contrast to other representatives of the genre, the authors of this game put a little more emphasis on the high realism of the game, the game is therefore a bit more difficult, it also requires a greater commitment from the player. The plot of "Trespasser" clearly refers to the events from the film "Jurassic Park: Lost World", but the actual game starts a few months later. The place where the park was located is completely destroyed, but this does not mean that all dinosaurs have been disposed of. The player takes on the role of a young woman named Anne, who, as a result of a plane crash, found herself on an island captured by prehistoric reptiles. The main character sets out to look for a means of transport, thanks to which she could leave the island. The authors have prepared a total of eight extended levels. It is worth mentioning that most of the stages take place on the surface and there are also levels that require examination of the surrounding buildings, for example in search of radio or additional ammunition. The player has a number of specific goals to complete, which are shown in a handy logbook. It is worth mentioning that each of the tasks can be performed in many different ways. For example, in order to get to a closed building you can try to find a special magnetic card, knock out one of the windows or climb up the roof and use a special flap.

Particularly noteworthy is the module responsible for the physics of the world, which can be considered the prototype of the famous Havoka. Most of the items you encounter can be pushed or moved, which can often help you complete a task or get rid of one of your opponents (e.g. by dropping a heavy object on it). The player meets several species of dinosaurs on his way, including Velociraptory, Triceratopsy and the famous T-Rex. Some enemies can be fought, but the only effective solution is to flee if a larger group of enemies meet. The authors of the game have also taken care of the high level of intelligence of the predators encountered, depending on the situation, they may ignore the player, try to attack him from surprise or join groups. The arsenal of available weapons includes several gun models (Desert Eagle .44, .357 Magnum, .38 Special, Ruger Redhawk .44), a shotgun and a heavy machine gun.

Graphic design of the game at the time of its premiere (1998) presented a very high level. The island on which the action of the game takes place is quite extensive, special emphasis has been placed on precise models of dinosaurs. It is worth mentioning that the dialogues of the main characters are uttered by professional actors.
