A TPP platform game, in which you play as the eponymous robot. You awaken after a long hibernation period and your task is to discover what happened to your owner.
Tyler: Model 005 is an action platform game with role-playing elements. It was developed by indie studio Reversed and published by Maximum Games.
Tyler: Model 005 is set in the 1950s. The protagonist is a miniature robot called Tyler, who awakens from a long hibernation period after getting struck by lightning. He then discovers that his creator has disappeared and his house has fallen into ruin. Tyler's task is to discover what happened to his owner.
The gameplay of Tyler: Model 005 consists of exploring the house, solving puzzles, completing mission objectives, and fighting enemies. The game utilizes a third person's perspective, and sine Tyler is small, chairs, stairs or bookshelves are quire serious obstacles for him. To make things worse, he encounters such opponents as rats, ants, and spiders.
Fortunately, Tyler is not helpless; he uses improvised weapons, such as a hairpin, boxing gloves or firecrackers. Moreover, as the game progresses, you unlock new abilities and passive bonuses, including improved speed, damage resistance or attack power. You can also modify Tyler's appearance, for example changing his casing's color or giving him various helmets, glasses or shoes.
The game features high-quality 3D visuals. Especially worth noting are the detailed environments and dynamic lighting. The production's overall visual style resembles that of Pixar animated movies.

Game Ratings for Tyler: Model 005 Video Game.
GamePitt: 6.7 / 10
Tyler: Model 005 definitely has the potential for greatness. Skipping over a decade powered down, Tyler the miniature robot has lost his memories, family and home as he knew it. With an interactive and gorgeous world, lovable characters and an urgency guided by a panicked sense of loss, which drives exploration of your overgrown abandoned home. Glaringly obvious gameplay mechanic issues and lack of a finished storyline are major hits to Tyler: Model 005 that prevent it from becoming the epic game it so wants to, and could, be.
TheSixthAxis: 5 / 10
All in all Tyler: Model 005 is a real mixed bag. It doesn't get close to the heights of its spiritual predecessors, but instead goes its own way to produce a surprisingly effective and heartwarming story that surpasses the limitations of its flawed mechanics to leave a lasting impression.
Destructoid: 5 / 10 by Brett Makedonski
There's a cute little story about rewriting the past at the heart of Tyler: Model 005. It's a shame those robots can't revise history and trim this game's excess so that it can focus on what's important.
