Plot

The action is set in the not-distant future. The title tells a story about a group of astronauts sent to Mars on the deck of carrier-class spacecraft Sentra. They are to retrieve remnants of the destroyed explorer satellite Phobos. Having arrived on the Red Planet, they come across the remains of an alien civilisation, which activate as soon as the crew has any contact with it.

Mechanics

Released on PC and PS4, Unearthing Mars is an action adventure offering numerous challenges. Gameplay tests both your wits and manual skills. Apart from exploration, players need to control a few types of vehicles – including a rover and a lander – shoot, and solve logic puzzles.

The initial moments of the game strives to recreate what such a mission might look like in reality. Then, fantastic elements surface and prevail, which gives you a chance to visit alien constructions and face alien war machines.
