Unlucky Seven is an adventure game developed by the independent Polish studio Puzzling Dream, known for the warmly received The Way. The source of inspiration for the devs were iconic slasher movies and games like Telltale Games's Life is Strange and Oxenfree.
Unlucky Seven tells the story of a group of alcohol addicts, anthropomorphic animals. Instead of going to an Alcoholics Anonymous meeting, the protagonists went to a birthday party at a luxury motel where cannibalism is nothing abnormal. It's up to us how they're going to go about their lives.
In Unlucky Seven, the action is shown from the side. During the game, we play as each of the seven heroes, including Robert the crocodile and Moreau the cat. The protagonists are mainly engaged in conversations and solving various environmental puzzles. As we progress, we gradually learn about each of them, their purposes, and desires. Based on the latter, we make decisions that influence the course of the story: mainly who we eat for the next meal and who we save at a given moment.
Unlucky Seven is powered by the Unity technology and features colorful and detailed pixel art visuals. Due to the fact that the game does not lack scenes of gore, it is intended for adult consumers.
