A combination of a MOBA, an extraction game and an RPG. Velev is about taking part in expeditions to the underground world, mixing fantasy elements with technology. We take part in dynamic battles on the arenas and we also have to safely extract gathered loot, working on character development.
Velev is a game on the border of MOBA and extraction genres, enriched with additional RPG elements. The game was developed by Chaf company. It takes us to an underground kingdom stretching under the titular land, which we visit in the skin of so-called explorers.
In Velev we watch the action from a bird's eye view. During the game, we play as characters representing classes differentiated in terms of preferred weaponry, combat skills, and fighting styles. We're talking about a warrior, a wizard, a priest, a rogue, a hunter and a paladin. Although we can play alone, a better idea might be to assemble a team whose members will complement each other.
The driving force of the game are expeditions to the underground kingdom. We come across arenas where we participate in battles based on PvPvE rules. On the battlefield, we face both other players and opponents controlled by AI (including powerful bosses). The pace of the game gradually increases due to the decreasing area of action over time.
Subsequent victories, as well as the spoils we gather, allow us to develop. By unlocking new skills and improving the ones we already have, as well as accumulating increasingly powerful equipment or upgrading the gear we use, we increase our combat potential. In return it allows us to face ever greater challenges.
We must be always vigilant on the battlefield, because in order to secure the goods acquired during a given "raid", we must reach the evacuation point in one piece. Otherwise, we will lose most of the gathered equipment.
Velev allows for solo play. Nonetheless, the game was developed with multiplayer mode in mind, in which we not only compete with other players, but also form alliances and team up to jointly face dangers.
