Mechanics

In Vigilance 2099 we can observe the action both from third person (TPP) and first person perspective (FPP). During the game we explore the city and complete tasks which consist in capturing various targets. Although there is no shortage of assignments in which we have to do our best for the victim to survive the meeting with the hero, in many cases our targets are wanted "dead or alive".

We explore the metropolis on foot, which is made more attractive by the parkour system that allows us to climb buildings and quickly and skillfully overcome terrain obstacles, as well as behind the wheel of cars - both driving and flying. Many missions require us to engage in spectacular shootouts or sneak behind the backs of enemies. Regardless of which solution we decide on, it can be made easier by the game's built-in tactical mode, in which the camera is released and we can freely look around the area to develop the right strategy. Apart from that, hacking security systems plays an important role here - the protagonist can hack into the cameras and digital "minds" of the combat robots he encounters along the way, which allows him to take direct control over them.

Technical aspects

Vigilance 2099 runs on Unreal Engine 4 technology, and it features richly detailed location designs. The neon lights in conjunction with the soundtrack create an atmosphere straight out of Blade Runner.
