WarioWare: Get It Together! Description
WarioWare Get It Together is the next part of the WarioWare series by Japanese giant Nintendo. Like the previous installments of the series, Get it Together is a collection of diverse and crazy mini-games. It is an exclusive game for the Nintendo Switch console.
Plot
The plot presented in Get it Together is similar to previous installments of the series and is mainly intended to add context to the gameplay. The main character is again the greedy and money-hungry Wario. He is the owner of WarioWare, a company that produces computer games. The mini-games played by the player were created by his employees in order to conquer the market.
Mechanics
The gameplay in Get It Together is about completing random minigames. Each lasts only few seconds and its goal is usually described with a single word. Our task can be for example squeezing toothpaste, knocking down apples from a tree or riding a draisine. The player receives a point for completing a minigame. Defeat is related to the loss of one of the available lives. If all lives are lost, the game ends. With time, the pace of the game increases and the player has less and less time to react. The goal of the game is to score a certain amount of points or beat your own record.
Get it Together allows the player to take on the role of different characters, each with their own abilities and unique ways to complete mini-games. For example, Wario can ram objects, Mona can throw a boomerang, and the alien Orbulon can lift objects with a spaceship.
Game modes
Get It Together is the first game in the series' history to feature a local multiplayer mode for two players. Controlling two different characters, players can work together to complete mini-games or make each other's lives miserable.
Technical aspects
WarioWare Get It Together features very nice, colorful graphics. The game is characterized by a mishmash of graphic styles. Depending on the minigame, we can experience hand-drawn backgrounds or collages reminiscent of Photoshop. The music is cheerful, energetic and fits the frantic gameplay.
