Watchmen is a third-person action game about superheroes. It was developed by Deadline Games, the creators of Chili Con Carnage, Total Overdose and Faith and a .45, among other titles. The product, in the form of multiple episodes, is available for download via Xbox Live Marketplace, PlayStation Network as well as PC exclusive digital distribution services.

Watchmen is based on the famous comic book series by Alan Moore, critically acclaimed and hailed as one of the best graphic novels in history. It tells the story of a group of oldish, battered by life, superheroes and vigilantes who have to hide their identity after one of them is suddenly murdered.

The game is not a direct adaptation of the comic, but a prequel to it; w get to see Nite Owl, Captain Metropolis or Mothman in their prime. The tasks we are given can be completed solo, with an AI companion or with a friend in co-op mode. Since Watchmen is an action-focused title, it delivers a plenty of no holds barred night-time crime fighting. Depending on the hero we choose, the fights can feature slight differences each time. Additionaly, the game features some puzzling elements.
