It was developed by Natsume, a Japanese studio known for various titles, including Omega Five, Godzilla, and Harvest Moon: Seeds of Memories. Natsume Atari as well as the developers of the original were also involved in the development.

Plot

In the game, we follow two protagonists: Annie, who wishes to take revenge on the Kid’s gang, and a bounty hunter, Clint, that helps her. Wild Guns Reloaded is a great trip down nostalgia lane with some bad decisions regarding price and lack of online. I had a lot of fun with it, but felt it was a bit too pricey for what it offers. Fans of the original will undoubtedly find plenty to love, but the steep price and lack of online make this hard to recommend for anyone who doesn’t have the fondest of memories for the original game.

The Outerhaven Productions: 3 / 5 by Keith Mitchell

Wild Guns Reloaded is a nice blast from the past and one that definitely desires a playthrough. The main issue here is the fact that the game was a simple port with nothing really added with the exception of the 4-player co-op (local) and graphical polish. The lack of any online capacity will likely make many gamers ignore the title. The trophy omissions are also puzzling since Natsume took the time to upscale the graphical side of things but nothing else. The asking price is simply too high for less than an hour of gameplay with no online leaderboards, no online co-op, all of which simply kill any changes this title may have had.

PlayStation LifeStyle: 6 / 10 by Tyler Treese

Wild Guns: Reloaded is a decent way to experience the SNES classic, but it’s brought down by some rather odd design choices. The new characters are difficult to use and are probably best left for die-hard players, leaving newcomers to feel left out. No additions have been made from a design standpoint to make the game more accessible, and it’s too difficult for its own good. Check it out if you’re already a fan, but this is a severely disappointing package otherwise.
