Zorro The Chronicles is a humorous action adventure game starring the famous adventurer. The game is an adaptation of the French animated series, broadcast in 2015-2016. The game was developed by BKOM studio, creators of Tales from Candlekeep: Tomb of Anihilation under the license of the Dungeons & Dragons Adventure System board game, and Warsaw-based BTC Studios.
Just like in the TV series, the main characters of Zorro The Chronicles are Don Diego de la Vega (the titular Zorro) and his sister Ines, living in 19th century California. Together they confront a vicious general and his army terrorising the countryside, including the brutal Captain Monasterio.
Zorro The Chronicles is almost a typical TPP action game. We observe the action from behind the hero (or heroine, because apart from Zorro we can also direct Ines), both during the course of exploring the locations with the help of acrobatics, and during the fight with enemies. During clashes with them we use various, funny attacks from the Zorro repertoire (ending the fight by cutting the belt of the unfortunate soldier's trousers is a common feature). We gain access to some of these skills as we progress through the game. With time we also increase the hero's statistics and obtain useful talismans.
The developers from the BKOM studio used a visual style known from the TV series Zorro The Chronicles. As a result, we got cartoon-like, 3D graphics in a very simplified style, although faithfully reflecting the charm of the TV series.
