In Gwent: Rogue Mage, each deck consists on a certain number of cards, and player can reinforce them during an expedition by adding more unit or spell cards to the deck A deck isn't complete without a key card that defines the playstyle.

Key Cards have a certain effect on the deck from the beginning, but you can further reinforce it and add additional features through this mechanic. In Gwent: Rogue Mage, this takes place by defeating an elite opponent. Once defeated, you can decide whether to reinforce a key card or get a treasure.
