Death in Kena: Bridge of Spirits can be common. Usually, a character can die in combat. However, you can also die while exploring the world. This is caused, for example, by staying too long in a non-purified area or jumping into infected water.

As for the consequences of death, they are not very large. When your character dies, you will be taken back to a section that you will have to replay (it's not very long). And that's really it, you won't lose anything if you die. The only consequence is that you have to repeat a short sequence again.
