All you need to know about Star Wars: Battlefront II beta

With just a couple of days left until the start of the Star Wars: Battlefront II open beta, EA has shared all the details you might need to play it as well as a new trailer.

The Star Wars: Battlefront II open beta is closing in – the testing will start this Friday and run through Monday (October 6 at 1:00 AM PDT through October 9 till 7:00 AM PDT) on all platforms: PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. Those who have pre-ordered the game will start playing two days early, on October 4.

If you are planning to play it on PC, you might want to check out the official system requirements. Unfortunately, it will not be possible to pre-load the game files. The beta will let players test several multiplayer modes and maps, which were briefly teased in this new trailer shared by Electronic Arts:

What exactly players will get to experience in the Star Wars: Battlefront II beta? There are four multiplayer modes waiting to be tested:

  1. Gallactic Assault – two 20-player teams compete against each other in an assault on the royal palace on Naboo;
  2. Starfighter Assault – take down a Star Destroyer over Fondor as a Rebellion pilot or defend it in the name of the Empire;
  3. Strike mode – 8 vs. 8 players fight around the Maz Kanata’s castle on Takodana in objective-based scenarios;
  4. Arcade mode – single-player skirmishes in Theed, the capital of Naboo.

The full release of Star Wars: Battlefront II is scheduled for November 17, 2017.
