The director of Baldur's Gate 3 is trying to reassure other RPG developers worried that their games will now have to match BG3.
Version 1.0 of Baldur's Gate III will debut any day now. This will be one of the most important RPG launches of recent years. The scale of the project even raises concerns among other developers creating in the genre. Two weeks ago we wrote that some developers are afraid that BG3 may set a new standard to which all other items in this category will later be compared. Director of Baldur's Gate III and co-founder of Larian, Swen Vincke, reassures however, that nothing of the sort will happen.
Recall that version 1.0 of Baldur's Gate 3 will debut on PC the day after tomorrow, i.e. on August 3, thus ending the early access period that lasted almost three years. In turn, the PlayStation 5 console version will be released on September 6.
