One creative Baldur's Gate 3 fan has developed a mod that enables you to play with 4 times more party members.
Baldur's Gate III turned out to be a gigantic success, with gamers and the industry media full of praises. However, a game who could please everyone is yet to be born, so there is no shortage of people who want to change some at least some elements. In the case of BG3 this is possible, because the game offers modding tools. One of the fans, known as SildurFX, decided to make use of them and wanted a bigger party.
His modification is titled Party Limit Begone and it does two things:
Of course, when using the mod you should be prepared for a lot of chaos during battles, but the project is very attractive for people who had to abandon some characters because they didn't fit into the original party limit.
How to install Party Limit Begone?
The mod changes the heavily coded limitations of the game engine, so its installation is a bit more complicated than a typical BG3 mod.
In the game, if you already have 4 companions, you must first send away one - this will unlock the limit and enable you to play with 16 companions.
In addition, if you are playing in multiplayer with a mod, then you need to create a new lobby and set a higher limit there. Only then load the save.
Party Limit Begone is not the only modification that enables you to go wild in Baldur's Gate 3.
It is also worth checking:
All of these mods make gameplay much easier, so we recommend that you start playing with them only after completing the campaign at least once. Otherwise, you may spoil the fun for yourself by making things too easy.
Version 1.0 of Baldur's Gate 3 was released on PC on August 3. PlayStation 5 console owners will wait until September 6. The developers are also working on an edition for the Xbox Series S and Xbox Series X, but for now they are not ready to give a release date, as they have encountered considerable technical issues.
