Baldur's Gate 3 has become one of the most popular games in Steam's history. The achieved activity record completely surprised the developers.
Last week Baldur's Gate III left early access. Everyone expected that version 1.0 would enjoy significant popularity, but the true scale of it surprised even the developers themselves.

Recall that version 1.0 of Baldur's Gate 3 debuted on PC on August 3, ending an early access period that lasted almost three years.
The game was met with an enthusiastic reception. The average rating of trade media is 95% on Metacritic. This is the second-highest score this year, and a mere 1% lower than that of the leader, The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom (it must be said, however, that the number of final ratings already awarded to BG3 is small - mere 6). On Steam, on the other hand, counting player reviews from the last 30 days, 95% praise BG3, which is categorized as an "overwhelmingly positive" reception.
It is worth mentioning that on September 6 the PlayStation 5 version of the game will be released. Currently, it is one of the most preordered games in the PS Store. There are also plans for an Xbox Series S and Xbox Series X release, but it is unclear when it will launch, as the devs have encountered considerable technical issues, especially in split-screen co-op.
