Larian Studios is not slowing down and yesterday it released the second major patch for Baldur's Gate III. The list of changes introduced in the update is very extensive - you can read about it here. In turn, I have listed below some of the most important things.

  1. As announced Karlach received a new scene in the epilogue, as well as additional dialogues in the first and second acts, designed to facilitate her consideration of her own nature and possible options. A similar fate soon awaits other companions.
  2. Withers will offer the ability to remove players with whom we played in co-op mode from the party. This will enable us to continue playing on our own.
  3. The size of saves game files has been reduced. In addition, an option has been added that allows for one click to get rid of most of the "old" saves and leave only the newest ones.
  4. The optimization of the game has been improved - especially in the third act. In particular, processors were relieved.
  5. Numerous bugs were eliminated and minor improvements were made to the interface, combat system, map design, etc.

On Steam, the update "weighs" 580.6 MB, while on GOG - as much as 2.43 GB. Nevertheless, it's quite possible that this is only the first part of it, and the second part will be made available today. In the case of the first patch, it was similar - at least on Valve's platform.
