Patch 9 Coming to Baldur's Gate 3; Larian is Preparing a Christmas Present

Larian Studios has announced Patch 9 for Baldur's Gate 3. We don't know yet what it will bring, but it is expected to be released by the end of 2022.

It's been more than four months since Larian Studios released Patch 8 for Baldur's Gate III, introducing new race and character class. Today the developer announced that by the end of 2022 another major update for the game will be released.

For the moment we do not know what Patch 9 will bring. Larian Studios only assured early players of the third BG that they can count on new content during the Christmas period. At the same time, the developer announced that the community's feedback is driving the team to continue their work, the results of which are so successful that Baldur's Gate III is on track for a proper release in 2023.

We'll get more information on Patch 9 in early December - that's when the Panel From Hell broadcast will take place, during which the developers will discuss the details of the upcoming update and outline their plans for 2023. And these look promising - suffice it to say that not only the second and third chapters of the game are currently being tested. The developer is also making efforts to ensure that those who have completed the first act of Baldur's Gate III many times, also receive a fresh experience on the game's debut day.

Finally, it is worth mentioning that Larian Studios has opened its own motion capture studio, where it can record animations for dialogues and cut scenes more efficiently than before. You can read more about it here, while below is an overview video shared by the team.
