Inspired by the anime Cyberpunk: Edgerunners, a fan has developed a project that makes the player character in CP2077 suffer from cyberpsychosis.
One of the surprising elements in Cyberpunk 2077 was the fact that the player character could not become a victim of so-called cyberpsychosis, a mental illness caused by excessive amount of cyberware in the human body. In the game by CD Projekt RED, only NPCs suffer from this affliction. This situation has been remedied by a fan going by the handle DJ_Kovrik, who created the mod called Wannabe Edgerunner - A simple Cyberpsychosis mod.
As you can guess, the author got the idea to introduce cyberpsychosis into the game from the animated series Cyberpunk: Edgerunners, in which this affliction plays an important role.

The mod introduces a new character stat to the game - humanity. Based on the tabletop original, it is influenced not only by the installed cyberware, but also by usage of Berserk/Sandevistan and committing murders. The design is very well done - different implants cause a different effect on the character's humanity (which, by the way, can be customized in the settings), and several immunoblocker inhalers have been added to make it easier to deal with the disease.
The affliction is divided into several phases of increasing severity. They result in visual distortions on the screen and stat debuffs. The final phase results in an enhancement of the character's speed, strength and stamina and the strongest glitching, but in the process brings police squads on our heads. The system is designed so that this disease only changes gameplay, not makes it impossible.
