Version 4.2 of the great modification Empire II, a fan project acting as an unofficial sequel to Empire: Total War, has been released.
Still looking forward to the sequel of Empire: Total War? This is all the more sad because the game, although plagued by numerous problems, had great potential, so the continuation would have had a good chance to turn out to be an outstanding title. This gap was filled by a group of fans, creating a modification called Empire II. The project has just received a new version. The update is numbered 4.2 and brings many changes:
The changes are so big that version 4.2 of the mod is not compatible with earlier save game data. Therefore, if you are in the middle of the campaign, it is best to complete it first before installing the update.
Recall that mod serves as an unofficial sequel. The authors have improved practically every aspect of the game and significantly expanded its content. In Empire II you will find several thousand types of units, dozens of factions, improved artificial intelligence, expanded battle mechanics and a more detailed map. Many new elements have also been added to the gameplay, such as disease, inflation, culture and slave trade.
Currently Empire II is the most ambitious and fastest-developing mod for Empire: Total War and today it is difficult to imagine playing Creative Assembly's production without it.
