This Peculiar Game Can be Completed Only Once - Wait 1 Year for Another Chance

Endlight is a really strange game and all the more worthy of attention. Each level present in it can be approached only once, and the quirks don't end there.

It is difficult to properly explain what Endlight is. It seems that the closest thing to this creation is an arcade game mixed with bullet hell shooter, however, this does not exhaust the subject. The aim of the game is to complete levels, and in each of them we have to fly through 10 hoops, but this is not as simple a task as it might seem.

To reach the goal of each level, we'll have to navigate amidst a twisted, ever-changing landscape made up of flying cubes and cuboids.

What on earth is Endlight?

Finding the hoops in such an unusual environment is quite a challenge in itself. In the game we control - for lack of a better term - a flying cube, which in its search for targets will have to avoid obstacles, but also repeatedly break through them.

I think it will be best for you to see with your own eyes "what you are up against" in this production:

Developed by the one-man studio founded by Jim McGinley Endlight is unique not only because of its quirky appearance, but also because of the game's lead idea - each level in Endlight can be completed only once. Thanks to this, the game is supposed to provide us with a one-of-a-kind experience that cannot be repeated.

The game currently offers 100 levels, and every month players are supposed to receive another 25 arenas in updates, so that they will have something to do after completing the previous ones.

As we can read on the Steam card of Endlight, there is one exception to the rule of non-repeatability of levels - every year on December 9 the game is to hold a special challenge, for the completion of which players will be able to get the opportunity to complete all levels in Endlight from the beginning - the so-called "Right to Repeat." Probably in order to improve previously achieved results.

The creator's own approach to his creation is also interesting, because, as he himself admits:

"I'm sure many players will hate this 'award,' but for me it's the funniest and most memorable award ever. I think [many people - ed. note} will appreciate this sense of humor."

The game itself also contains many humorous quotes and notes left by the author, which we leave for you to discover.

The game is certainly an original project, and if you like such unusual productions, it is worth your interest. It currently costs $12 on Steam, 20% off. Many gamers suggest that the price is a bit too high, and it's hard not to admit they are right. We are curious to see what direction Jim McGinley's experiment will take.
