Geometry Dash (GD) 2.2 - The Challenge not Working Explained

Geometry Dash is a popular indie rhythmic platformer from RobTop Games. The title received recently an update 2.2 which added a lot of new features. It is so popular that the game beat its record in the number of concurrent players with “the score” of over 88 thousand players (via SteamDB). The title has some technical problems though, as fans report various glitches after the recent patch. One of them is an issue with The Challenge secret level. It does not work.

The Challenge in Geometry Dash

For those who don’t know – The Challenge is a secret level. You can access it through the Vault of Secrets. It is necessary to type “the challenge” there. However, it alone is not enough, you have to gather 200 Diamonds, too. In the regular circumstances, it should unlock after fulfilling those requirements.

The Challenge not Working in GD

However, many people inform that after starting a new save, The Challenge is bugged. It does not unlock. If you are one of them, don’t worry, it is a common problem. Sadly, at the moment, there are no workarounds which are able to overcome this issue. It seems that we have to wait for an official patch.

Unfortunately, we have to be prepared that it will be a few days before implementation of some fixes, as Holiday/Christmas period is approaching and many people, including developers, will have a break from work. It may be also true in the case of RobTop Games.
