Lightyear Frontier is an open-world farming game set on a distant planet. Team up with up to 3 friends and build your homestead together. Cultivate alien crops, explore the world in your very own mech, and upgrade gadgets for greater efficiency. In this guide, we explain how to unlock and craft Spring, a material required to improve your jump distance and sprint speed.

How to Get Coilvine Stem in Lightyear Frontier

To unlock Spring recipe in Lightyear Frontier, you first need to get some resources. After exploring the Strange Structure, you can visit a new region, by clearing all its available lands. Collect Coilvine Seeds from the western beach of Tornado Rock Isle and plant them on your farm. Once the crops mature, harvest Coilvine Stem to unlock the Spring recipe, along with other new blueprints.

How to Get Fractalite Ore in Lightyear Frontier

The other material needed for crafting Springs in Lightyear Frontier is Fractalite Ore. You can find plenty of this mineral in Lowland Plains, with its distinctive pink-yellow colors, making it easy to spot on rock formations.

How to Craft Spring in Lightyear Frontier

Once you’ve gathered all the necessary materials, you can craft Springs. First, make some Natural Coil from Coilvine Stem using the Assembler. Next, smelt Fractalite Ore in the Furnace to obtain Fractalite Bar. Combine 1 Fractalite Bar and 3 Natural Coils in the Assembler to create a single Spring.

Spring is a key ingredient for crafting the Thruster Boost II for your mech. This upgrade enhances your mech’s jump distance and stamina, allowing you to explore further and reach previously inaccessible areas.
