How to Open Locks in Sherlock Holmes The Awakened

Do you want to open locks in Sherlock Holmes The Awakened? In this guide we will tell you how to do it. Become a master thief.

Sherlock Holmes The Awakened is an adventure game that lets you take on the role of the eponymous great detective and his faithful companion Dr. Watson. It is a remake of a 2006 game of the same title. During the game you will come to visit many places. Unfortunately, not all doors will be open to you. Sometimes you will have to use a lockpick. In this guide we will tell you how to open a lock in the game.

How to open a lock

Opening a lock in Sherlock Holmes The Awakened is one of the mini-games designed to reduce the routine of looking for leads and reading clues.

During this activity, the game takes us to a view of the lock. We can insert the pick into the mechanism or pull it out of it. In the inside view mode you have to take a look at the latches. Each of them has a gap. Your task is to line them up so that the lock can rotate. The moving point is quite clearly marked by a metal bar.

To accomplish the above you must properly position the pick. You can do this in view mode outside the lock. It is then possible to move horizontally and adjust the size of the teeth on the pick so that they fit the latches in the lock.

You can repeat the attempts as many times as you wish, so nothing will happen if you fail the first time. It is worth noting that on the normal difficulty level you can skip the sequence altogether. However, this becomes impossible if you choose a more difficult challenge.
